We often forget to take time to talk to our staff about their Wellbeing. In a busy world it is very important to take the time to look after ourselves and encourage others to do so. Happy people, give more. When is the last time you encouraged your employee to take time to walk in the woods or sit by the lake or even laugh with colleagues ? When is the last time YOU acted as a role-model and took the time to do breathing excercises? They really matter too! One of the popular concepts to support the wellbeing is IKIGAI. A very easy Japanese philosophy which makes you re-think about your purpose in life. So, this month, I wish to share with you the 6 steps based on the IKIGAI concept...give it a go and have fun!
1. What is your purpose in life? What makes you want to wake up in the morning?
2. Focus on small tasks each day
3. The Pomodoro technique: work for 25 minutes and take a 5 minutes break
4. When you are 80% full, stop eating
5. Embrace each task with enthusiasm and curiosity and like a beginner
6. Embrace imperfection instead of stressing
